Cliff Richard interview in Saga Magazine!

The elderly lady who lives over the road from us lends my mum her copy of Saga Magazine. In this month's issue there's an interview with Cliff Richard. Some of it's quite funny but one part was actually pretty offensive!

Do you have any regrets?
Turning down the opportunity of meeting Elvis. He was overweight at that stage. I wanted to wait until he'd slimmed so that I'd have a picture of the two of us together that I could always cherish. But then he died and it was too late.

Is it just me or does Cliff come across as incredibly shallow, and even rude?! Turning down the chance to meet Elvis because he was fat? Oh well. At least he knows when he's facing north now ;-)
