Beverley Westwood is a 600 area of common land lying to the West of the market town of Beverley. On its wide open expanses stands the battlement-ed tower of the Black Mill. Black Mill is closest to the centre of the Westwood where 5 mills used to stand and 3 have partial remains. Built in 1803 and had the top removed in 1863, what glorious views of old Beverley from here
