Can you guess what this is?
This is actually the inside of a kaleidoscope. This is a more modern kind with pieces of silver foil in a liquid, unlike the one I had as a child which was little pieces of plastic moving against mirrors. In the old one the viewing hole was round in this one it is more like a key hole so more difficult to get the picture.
Of course with a kaleidoscope every picture is different not only from shape but also colour, so it was very hard to choose one.
Alexandra chose this because she liked the colour. This of course has nothing to do with the fact that purple is her favourite colour!!
Fairly quiet day today. I'm rarely at home on a Sunday as I usually work, but it was so nice to get up this morning and it be so peaceful. It was such a lovely warm morning that I took my cup of tea and Sophia Sparkles out into the garden for a wander around.
She looked at the birds, chewed the grass, climbed up onto the windowsills and I just wandered around behind her. It was lovely.
But then back to reality, a trip to the hospital, to get a chemo pump disconnected from Christian. This didn't take long, and being Sunday it was easy to park. Then a quick wander around a couple of shops that he wanted to go to. Then back home for lunch.
He spent the afternoon snoozing, I spent the afternoon ironing. Hubby cooked dinner.
Not a bad day really.
