Steaming pile of bricks

After a miserable Saturday morning, weather-wise, this morning dawned bright, crisp and very cold.

The conservatory build is progressing, and being able to go outside and stand in it (and when I say "it" I mean the pile of breeze blocks and facing bricks that currently count as it's structure. And as I said before, it's mostly brick and less conservatory) gives me a better sense of the sort of size and space we're going to have.

My wife noticed this morning that there was a fantastic cloud of steam rising from the bricks, however, on closer inspection, it became clear the steam was rising from the thick plastic shroud that the brickies left to protect the structure from the rain.

It also dawned on me while standing among my pile of breeze blocks and building detritus (including a sorry looking bottle of lemon Fairy washing up liquid) that this is the first time we've ever had anything built for us. That in itself is an exciting thought.
