Destination NZ ...

...and home to Timaru.

But before going to the airport we went down to the harbour to watch Bob (our daughter-in-law's dad) have his birthday treat - a whirl over Townsville in the Red Barron. He just loved it and the loop and other things didn't fazz him at all, said it was the best birthday prezzie ever!! While he was having fun, I took a few more pictures and I have conbined a couple with the Red Barron.

The flight from Townsville to Brisbane takes hour & half.....I now know how the sardines feel cramped in the tins??!! The flight to ChCh was much more comfortable, then a two hour drive south to Timaru...we hit home at 2am, to be greeted by two very happy cats, and well looked after by our friendly squatters Lucy & Finchy - we so appreciated them house sitting for us.
