Comrades...

This demonstration against the cuts in public services was held in Edinburgh today. I was walking through the town with my mum and watched them for a short time. It was cold and drizzly, so we didn't watch for long, but there were speakers and balloons and lots of banners. I like seeing the trade union banners being unfurled, even though few of them are the old fashioned ones from the colliaries etc any longer, for obvious reasons. I imagine there was a demo in most towns across Britain. I do hate being called comrade though. It's so....soviet! And to cap it all there was actually a red flag with hammer and sickle there too.
