Roll up for the Circus
Hurrah, it's holiday time. And after a surprisingly fun day at work I headed off to town to mark the occasion (holiday, not work fun!).
I took the advice of a certain fellow blipper and went with Mrs Dailykeith for a 'gourmet burger', which she described as 'the best burger I think I've ever had'.
I have to say, I'm struggling to find fault with that statement. It was delicious and filling and not too pricey.
Now, I did take some shots of the scrummy fare, but also took night-time shots of the Cabot Circus shopping centre, where we had the meal. Cabot Circus won in the photographic aesthetic stakes, although I wasn't sure which to go for. Here the one that didn't quite make it.
I must take the opportunity to record a fun episode from yesterday.
My wife left work and decided to check out our car, which had been on a side street most of the week.
To her horror, it wasn't where she had left it. It's not the most salubrious of areas and maintaining possession of one ton of metal isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, so she feared the worst.
Nevertheless, she began a hunt for the car, presumably thinking it had gone walkabout on its own, so bored was it to be in the same place all week.
And amazingly she found it... with a note explaining that it had been 'moved' while the council prepared a street parking scheme.
I'm not sure how she would have read the notice if she hadn't actually found where they had put the car. And how did they move it? Lifted by crane onto the back of a lorry? I remember our friend net blippping an identical scene.
