Today's the day ..................... to buy new pans

Went up from the Lake District this morning to Edinburgh to stay with Mum and Dad over the weekend. Great excitement because next week they are having a new kitchen fitted - and so this weekend everything needs to be cleared from the cupboards in preparation.

The new kitchen will also include a state of the art induction hob and as her present ones are not suitable, Mum and I went into town to get a new set of pans. This picture was taken after a successful raid on the kitchenware shop while we were waiting for Will to come and pick us up. There are two things to notice .............

Can those be christmas decorations already? Really - it's too soon. We're still in October for goodness sake?!

Is my mother completely surrounded by 'Lakeland' bags? Did I not leave the headquarters of 'Lakeland' not far from Kendal at the crack of dawn this morning?!
