Bad Scares-the-crap-out-of-me news: - Because it could backfire?

I am not an expert on Middle East politics but it scares the crap out of me that the US is gearing up to sell a ridiculous amount of arms to the Saudis. Sure the Saudi government is stable now but the US government forgets so soon how their arms deal with Saddam Hussein turned around and bit them in the ass years later. Greed can put blinders on people. They can dress it up as necessity to keep Iran in check now but it comes down to business and greed and selling their toys and inventions that kill and maim because after all, it's easier to shoot than talk.

Good Halle-f@#$!!g-luja news: - Yes, please disconnect me!

Google engineer Brian Kennish is a genius. He created Facebook Disconnect, an extension for Google Chrome that's going to make it impossible for all those third parties and advertisers to get a glimpse into your profile as you surf around Facebook and the net. You heard me right. As you are sending and confirming those cutesie apps and clicking on ads within Facebook, your personal information is viewable by advertisers who use it to target you specifically with ads based on your profile. I don't mean to constantly rag on Facebook but am I the only one who finds that a bit sinister? And can someone please get cracking on an FB Disconnect extension for Firefox? I might even reconsider reactivating my FB account then.
