Air compressors

These are the three aircompressors of unit EC 20.
They supply the air for valve-actuators and safety-equipment in this unit.
There also is a possibility to supply air from the units EC 3-7.
The green things are the storage vessels for the air, at ± 7 bar.
All the piping is mostly cooling water, a problem for "newbees" at this unit is that not all the pipes are painted in so-called "RAL colors"; that's making it a bit more difficult to get knowledge of this unit.

At left the bottom of the main boiler can be seen.
It's hanging in a giant construction of steel.
