By the light of the silvery moon

I was outside digging up some spuds for dinner, which I should have done when it was light when the cloud cleared and the lovely shimmering moon showed itself.
There's been a crisp north wind today. Winter is on its way. On the news about two swans flown in from Siberia (much earlier than expected) apparently heralding another frozen winter.
