Big cat on the prowl

I don't know that I have ever posted a picture of a cat, but I guess there is a first time for everything. This black and white denizen of the underbrush is a resident of our neighborhood park, one of two cats who fade in and out of sight as it pleases them. They aren't feral cats. Both look healthy and well cared for, but they spend a lot of time outdoors, probably stalking small birds, chipmunks, and the like, and they are not fair weather creatures. I have even seen them roaming the woods on cold snowy days. My guess is that they either live in one of the houses just outside the park or they are barn cats from some property in the neighborhood.

We enjoyed another beautiful day today.
