Birds and ships
'The birds are singing in your eyes today
Sweet flowers blossom in your smile
The wind and sun are in the words you say
Where might your lonesome lover be?
Birds sweetly singing in my eyes this day
Sweet flowers blossom when I smile
But my soul is stormy and my heart blows wild
My sweetheart rides a ship on the sea
Though my soul is stormy and my heart blows wild
Where might my lonesome lover be?'
Natalie Merchant with Billy Bragg
Words: Woody Guthrie, music: Billy Bragg
The above was what I was humming to myself as I raced down to the beach to catch the sunset. It was definitely worth racing for!! As well as a few harbour shots I also took some straight sunset/sea pictures, but I think overall this makes a better image. Tried a couple of different angles as the light was fading - this is my personal favourite.

Had a busy day, woke up with a cough and no voice :( Bad start. Did some work then to David and Norma's for a lovely long lunch and a chat. They're like my adopted grandparents in Aber :) Caught up with Doug who lives next door, then back home to put the washing in again (I put the washing powder in the wrong section of the drawer cos I was half asleep this morning! Consequently, clothes were wet, but not washed!). Had a frantic rush to the harbour on my bike, really cold tonight! Then back home to cooked tea and chat to housemates. Now bed!!
Hope everyone had a good day :)
