i am a pledge this semester for alpha phi omega, the service fraternity on campus... we do community service at different levels to better the brotherhood, campus, community, and nation... i can't wait to become a member

so i got a few comments about this photo already and i figured i'd just clarify for everyone especially the non-americans
most fraternities and sororities were founded in the name of brotherhood and sisterhood, depending on which frat/sorority depends on what they are all about
when you typically hear about greek life on american campuses it's referring to frat houses and parties and things like that
this fraternity, which is a brotherhood but for males and females, was founded by a man who was in boy scouts before college and wanted to take those ideals with him
we do not have a frat house or parties or anything like that... we do community service
there aren't many pledging rituals that or out of the ordinary, but i am not allowed to talk about them (sorry)... but we do not haze and it is absolutely against our policy to do so
