Another city ground shot - I seem to spend a lot of time looking at the floor when i'm in town
Matt and I were in a car accident last night - I was driving us to the pub, travelling down a lot of quiet country lanes. We were minding our own business, waffling away and listening to music when all of a sudden there were blinding lights and a huge smash. A car had sped past too far over on our side of the road, swiping my wing mirror which smashed off and shot through my window, shattering the glass everywhere (we were picking it out of our eyes and mouths for a while afterwards). I think it also caught matt on the side of the head as he had a cut there which was bleeding quite heavily at first.
The other car didn't stop and sped off before we could see a number plate, make of car or anything - must have been drunk or uninsured
Seriously shaken up but given the corner, how icy the roads were and how fast the idiot was going, I think we both felt very lucky to have got away as lightly as we did. A couple more inches over and I hate to think what could have happened
Needless to say, we got back here and got rather pissed in a celebration of living to fight another day :)
