Lifesaving & Salvage
Summer is definitive over now. The first remnants of tropical cyclones will track over western europe soon and the first below temperatures were already recorded. It also means that salvage and lifeboat vessels have to change mode from helping yachts in summerstorms to assist shipping in real storm conditions. Here you see the Terschelling lifeboat Arie Visser in the foreground and salvage tug Hunter in the background busy with a grapnel hook in the crane. For me personally, I prefer the quiet winter and storm season above the crowded summer panic actions.
