Coming Home
At 7 weeks, we returned to the breeder to collect Jess and bring her home.
It was a journey of about 35 miles, and was the first time she had been away from her mother. Irene held her in the back of the car, and she was OK until about 5 miles from home - then she was sick.
Luckily, we did not know then what was ahead. For a whole year, Jess was not a good traveller. She was sick almost every time she was in the car, usually within the first five minutes.
We began to think that we would never be able to take her any great distance. Thankfully, however, she grew out of that stage and now she goes everywhere with us.
