Before the storm . . .
At choir last night I met a friend I hadn't seen for a while and we decided to go for a walk today. At 9.30am we set out, clad in boots, waterproof trousers and jackets, hats etc and Ollie (obviously!). We set off round the cliff path and walked and walked, chatting as best we could with hats on and hoods up, stopping to shelter from the hailstones and sleets showers, until I asked her how long a walk did she fancy? She'd been waiting for me to say when to turn back! By that time we were past the point of return so headed on until we could cut through the fields back to the road. When we got back we'd had a good steady two hour hike. It was great, I felt so refreshed and alive and my skin was glowing with the wind and the rain, hail and sleet and even Ollie was flagging a little! Really enjoyed it.
I took a few photos, but unfortunately lots of them had spots of rain on them. This one has had nothing done to it - this is the colour it was just before the hailstones hit us!
