Keeping warm

My wife, daughter and I live in a very old Farm House.

We have Gas central heating, a log burning stove in the dining room and an open fire in the lounge.

The gas boiler, I think is called a ?Concorde? and stands about 3 foot tall by 2 foot by about 18 inches.

It must be about 30 years old so well past its best and not what you would call efficient.

The reason I?m showing you the barrow full of logs is that these will all be burnt this evening and will need filling again tomorrow but it saves me a fortune in coal.

I quite enjoy a day with the chain saw and splitting them with the axe, its good exercise too.

I think I have enough to last all winter so bring it on, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow I?m ready.
