One for Day 1

One rose to begin Day 1 of my one month countdown.

I absolutely love celebrating, so I started this year's big celebration today by getting myself a rose. Actually, I stole it. This beautiful rose is on a bush at the Historic Galleano Winery in the Rancho Cucamonga Valley just north of where we live. We stopped there earlier today.

It is always fun to visit the lovely gounds of this rustic old place. The guinea pig pen was full -- with babies and mommas and dads. They are so fun to watch. I'd bring home an armful of guinea pigs if the folks at the winery would let me.

There are two miniature donkeys and she is expecting . . . she is huge! They are adorable. They both have crosses on their backs. They are said to be the type of donkey that Christ rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.

So whenever we are going that direction and have the time, I like to stop to see the sights at the Galleano Winery. Today I also stole a rose!

So I may act like I am 16 all month, but when the month ends, I'll have to get the numbers in the right order.
