Fossil Creek

Mrs KD and I travelled to Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island. We left the kids there with my parents and went tramping on a track called The Inland Pack Track. ("Tramping", depending where you come from, means bush walking, hiking, trekking or, for ASG, tabbing). We took two days to do a circuit through stunning karst landscapes. Much of the track was no track at all but consisted of walking in the river itself. In fact, you can see Mrs KD in the distance in this shot, walking down the creek bed. We slept under the stars on the side of the river. Absolutely wonderful.
