Ms Goosander

Today's the day ................... to shake it all about

Walked along the River Kent today and spotted what I think were two female goosanders having a good preen. Then, this one stood up and really did shake those tail feathers.

I have seen these two a few times on the river - sometimes accompanied by Mr Goosander - and it makes me wonder what sort of a domestic arrangement they have agreed to?

I know that there are quite a few bird-expert blippers and I'm hoping that someone is going to put me in the picture and tell me if I've got it all wrong ....... ?!
