A long day of waiting around. My job, (musician in a Navy fleet band) keeps me waiting. Whether its doing a ceremony for a retiring Admiral, or waiting for my boss to finish a personal call so we can start rehearsal, waiting is my REAL job. Today I have waited on the gas man to show up and turn on my gas so I can have heat in my apartment. He did and I don't. Apparently, I have to have my furnace cleaned and the pilot light lit. So, that just means more waiting. Now, I am waiting for the locksmith to show up and fix my deadbolt. I got a call around 1 that said he was on his way. It's 5 now. Oh bother.
