Rootes

This is the Rootes building in the centre of Maidstone. It was built just prior to the Second World War, completed in 1939, and is now a grade II listed building. It is one of the few really attractive buildings in the centre of Maidstone after the unsympathetic attentions of the Luftwaffe during the war and although it might look tranquil it sits next to a very busy stretch of road.
