Western gulls

This is the same gull that was perched on our wharf- with his friend (offspring? First year coloring...) that I've seen him hanging around with. Only a better place to perch. The beautiful sandstone rocks off our beach innthe gulf Islands, B.C. They sat there over an hour while I was there. It has been a fantastic weekend of sun and small chores, rowing and walking. Being on the saltwater, the Salish Sea, is so restorative! Such a respite from the bustle, noise, responsibilities, and obligations of the city. We are soooo lucky.
