You might not have noticed it in the left of the shot.

Tourists complain about the seagulls, but given the choice we'd rather it was the gulls that stayed. They live for over 20 years and pair for life. The thing the tourists complain about is that the seagulls steal their food. But if you wave your ice cream in the air whilst wandering around then who can blame a herring gul for releiving you of it.
