10 years

This portrait of me was sketched 10 years ago in Paris. Looking at it today got me thinking about who and where I was 10 years ago.

Whenever I go back to my dad's house, where this picture is hanging in the hall, it stirs up so many memories. In many ways it's a house where things stand still - I like the fact if I put something down there it will virtually never be moved.

But I have not really ever stood still for too long! In fact over the last few months and years in particular I've been here, there and everywhere. Change has been a constant companion in my life.

At the moment I feel myself being pulled in lots of different directions and I've not decided which route to take.

It'll soon be decision time and as I get ready to move on again I felt it was important to take a good hard look at what I've achieved and learnt over these last 10 years.
