King Alfred's Tower
After the first frost of the autumn, it turned out to be a lovely sunny day so we went to King Alfred's Tower near Stourhead. We climbed the 205-step spiral staircase - worth the effort as, although it was a bit misty, we could just see Hinkley Point, 35 miles away.
