The (not so) quiet life

It's been a pretty dreich day today so we haven't been terribly adventurous with our excursions. Unfortunately a trip to Tesco was needed so we thought we'd head up to investigate the Hector MacDonald monument which is in a cemetery overlooking Dingwall. The monument itself is a huge stone tower, but there are two 19th century canon at the bottom of it which made for a better photo opportunity. Abigail was only too happy to pose for a picture once we had persuaded her that they were very old and wouldn't go bang if she touched them. On the way back down we were bombarded with questions about the various graves. She wasn't in the least bit keen on the idea that people were actually buried underneath the ground, think she will go down the stuffing and mounting rather than burial or cremation route.

Tesco was as exciting as usual and Abigail managed to scrape together enough pocket money to buy herself a box of Aqua Beads (little round beads that stick together when sprayed with water). She is on pain of death not to drop them on the carpet but I will doubtless be picking several out of Katys nappies over the next little while. The two of them are currently engrossed in a game of shops. Not quite sure that Katy is has a clue what is going on but it's keeping them entertained for now.
