In the distance is a roof to what I am imagining is our long house. Yep, In my mind, I'm coming home from gathering herbs.

It was made by some members of the Seminole tribe here in Florida. Amazing palm roof, which I'll have to photo one day. They are very hurricane resistant, and while many homes lost cover in our last storm, these all held on well.

Those who can craft these have been hired by our park division and at quite a price too. Which I am glad of. Except, who knows if the workers are getting the money. There is a large casino on the reservation, but a lot of the tribe are not reaping those monetary benefits, so I dunno. I'd like to think the actual craftsmen are getting the payment.

Took a long walk in these woods and felt so blissful, but my photos mostly turned out very lacking today. Ah well...
