Destination Townsville
......via Mamu Rainforest elevated canopy walkway - totally brilliant to be able to walk through & above the rain forest, walked up the 37metre tower for awesome views; walked out on a 40 metre long & 20 metre high viewing area, the last 10 metres is cantilevered, magic! Fortunately our son was able to be driven on a wee motorised cart thingie for some of the way & was able to enjoy this experience with us. Jeepiz, almost forgot we saw two snakes, both red bellied black snakes. The bird life was something else too. Took heaps & heaps of picies.
Next stop, and totally different was Paronella Park....a Spaniard's dream to build a castle, on 5 hectares beside Mena Creek Falls. Here he built his castle, tennis courts, bridges, a tunell and wrapped it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants and trees.....this was opened to the public in 1935. Another outstanding place to visit and once again so many photo's taken.
The choice for blip today and the three previous days have been difficult.
I have chosen the falls at Paronella Park, you can see on the right hand side of the photo some of the intricate walls etc.....I would have loved to have done a collage of maybe 3 or four images, but not having my laptop has made it more difficult.....& I really want to go to bed!!
I have back blipped the last three days, you may care to take a look??
Nite nite
PS: Cripes, I have just realized tomorrow is my 200th blip - how time flys!!:
