Balut
Balut.....very Filipino, very exotic and it takes a lot of daring to be able to eat it. These are 2-week old duck eggs that are boiled and eaten with a sprinkling of salt or a dash of vinegar. You will usually find them being sold by hawkers, set up with their steaming hot baskets or tubs, by the roadside at sunset.
