Bennachie, Aberdeenshire: Colony Cat

A friend of ours from Aberdeen visited us today, and we spent the afternoon walking from our house on Donside, up over Millstone Hill, and down again to the site of the Colony, the former settlement on the eastern side of Bennachie near to where the Bennachie Visitor Centre now stands.

We were interested to discover some new waymarked trails had been posted around the area, including this one to encourage visitors explore the surviving remains of the Colony on the side of the hill.

But am I the only one to discern the face of a 'Colony Cat' in the woodgrain on this particular sign?
