Better than a camels bone....

My husband is a dear - but he has no imagination (usually) when he thinks about bringing me a present back from his worldwide jaunts. On one occasion when he went somewhere exotic, I asked for a silver letter opener. He brought me back a letter opener made from a camel's bone. I couldn't touch it - I was horrified, and asked that he either get me what I asked for OR just bring me a t shirt. I LIKE t shirts, so I have a very fine collection of T's from all sorts of odd places - some have lasted better through the years than others.
However, on one trip to Eastern Europe, he came back with a set of these metroyshka dolls that had various presidents of Russia going back to a tiny Tsar in the centre. Next holiday he came back with US presidents. I admired them - so the next time, instead of a T shirt, he brought me this Star Trek set. The art work is crude (Uhura got a particularly rough deal) but I loved it. Next time he came back with this tiny South Park set. All very illegal no doubt but I think they're original, fun, unexpected and amusing.
And SO much more welcome than a camel bone.....
