Beauty in the Garden

One of Mum's rhododendrons - Seaview Sunset.

Its a beauty and reminds me so much of a sunset. Vivid reddish orange in bud, its flowers open light yellow with a broad band of reddish orange and mature pure yellow - stunning against the glossy foliage.
Its a compact early bloomer growing to 1m.

Its been a cloudy dismal start to our day after another aftershock last night - it came with quite a jolt and left with a shudder, measuring 4.6. It seems they are becoming less but are more intense of late. The sky has now cleared, the sun is shining and I feel Spring is back with us.

I am overwhelmed by the kind words and favourites that were left after yesterdays blip of Spring Blossom from Mum's garden. I feel very humble to be on the spotlight page and thank you all for your encouraging and thoughtful words, they are a pleasure to read, thank you :))
