It will eat anything!

Ran across a funny but also sad scene today. While walking through a park I passed a seagull that looked like it had a wet leaf hanging from his beak. As I followed him I realized that it wasn't a leaf, but was some paper that has some food on it. And it was stuck to its beak! The hopping around that the seagull was doing was a futile effort to shake it loose. He would hop around, then shake his head ... nothing worked. He also would not allow me to get close enough to help him remove the paper. After a few more attempts to get it loose, he decided to try and eat it! The paper would not fit in his mouth and he ended up choking and coughing it back up again. Strangely the other birds thought he had some food and they kept coming in and trying to steal it from him. Eventually he did manage to dislodge the paper and appeared to be okay.
