Oyster Fungus

I gave a talk to a group this afternoon so hadn't much time to search round for a blip. My 'wood' was on the way back from the talk so I called in just before dark and managed to blip this Oyster Fungus. If you find some be sure to photograph the gills on them, they make a more interesting photograph than their caps.
These are very common fungi found on the stumps of dead trees in most woodland areas. They are edible but if you do fancy eating them it's as well to dry them a bit first because they are very watery.
