The photograph is necessary as a physical outcome that can be shared, and the discussion of it can have a similar importance to the creation, but the image itself, being nothing more than a series of coloured dots ordered on the screen or on paper has no lasting value or meaning. Its creation, both in composing and capturing the image, and its subsequent manipulation to create the desired mood has a value that is sometimes hard to attain by other means"
