Fragmented view

Well, I decided I wanted to blip this view thru our 2nd floor living room window on this gorgeous day. This scaffold has been here for 6 weeks!! There is a roof drain pipe between ours and the next door townhouse that was leaking and a new one is supposedly being constructed. I don't think it is a huge job. We are going to the island tomorrow (we will be soooooo happy to just see water and trees for 6 days, and blip accordingly...if our 3G internet is working OK), but I am optimistically hoping that these metal bars will be out of here when we return, and our view of Lake Union and Gasworks Park will again be clear.

The plastic on the dining room windows is also still there! the same amount of time!! How could we have engaged the slowest workers in Seattle? If the plastic is still here when I return next week, I think I'll take it off myself -or get the paint and finish the little bit of trim. Enough already.
