we call this shop the red shop because the doorway is red, it caters for the people living in the emergency b&b at the end of our road. when the kids are not around, i refer to it as the porn shop becuase it has the most amazingly long and over stocked top shelf. i used to only go in when i really, really had to and then i used to give the blokes behind the counter a meaningfully disparaging stare, hoping that they'd understand my disapproval was aimed at the top shelf. but now the next corner shop is shut so i just go to the red shop anyway.
