Welsh Gold!

Rob Weale won the gold for the lawn bowls today in the Commonwealth Games in India. He's my second cousin - part of the family Mr T and I discovered on our family history trip to Wales in 2008. Strictly speaking, my branch were the 'lost relatives' as all contact was severed by my Grandmother before WW2. We were so excited to find a relative still living in Maerdy just across the road from where my great grandparents lived in the early 1900s. It was exactly like 'Who Do You Think You Are?' Rob's grandmother Ada was my Grandfather Hubert's younger sister.

We found my Grandfather had 8 siblings, seven of whom had children (first cousins of my Mum) and my sisters and I have been in contact with many of them and their children. Not Rob though - yet! Congratulations!!
