The animals came in two by two
Feeling a bit under the weather today, think i'm coming down with a cold, bah humbug so haven't been galavanting about taking snaps. So, today's post is just something that lifted my spirits on a grey, sniffly day. This is from an article in The Guardian about the Graffiti Grannys. I first read about the GG's in The Cornishman paper coming back from holiday a few months ago as this group had added some knitted graffiti/yarn bombing to the Merry Maidens for the Summer Solstice which caused a bit of controversy (well, according to The Cornishman that was). They describe themselves as: "A group of middle aged granny urban woolerists, you wont see us or hear us, but you will know we have been there!!!!!"
I think they are rather marvellous and I like the mischievous way they set up their displays when nobody is around. This snap is the latest 'bomb' and it was a herd of sheep crossing London Bridge, and they are currently working on 'Knitmare before Christmas' I would love to see some of their work in person so hopefully I will at some point and keep your eyes peeled for the Graffiti Grannys!
