Last stop for this old Toronto streetcar

This strange site is on the east side of Highway #6 South, south of Highway 401 just south of the town of Morriston, Ontario. I've wanted to blip this for a while but it's a very busy road and the photos never turned out well from a moving car. This time we pulled over. This was the kind of quirky photo my late Uncle John would send me in an email. It was his funeral service today that we were returning home from in Tillsonburg.

These trolleys plied the rails of Toronto for decades in the service of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The model is a PCC (President's Conference Committee) streetcar made in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. In Toronto, these were called Red Rockets. The nearby Halton County Radial Railway preserves lots of old streetcars and rail cars.

It's neat to think that I may have road this streetcar-now-flower-shed at some point in the past. If you want to shoot it yourself, it can be found here: 43° 26'32?N, 80° 06'27?W
And, a couple of hundred metres north is a cool, antique, rusty, derelict delivery truck from the 1930s at the end of a driveway...a future blip for sure.
