Palmetto

I have taken shots of palmettos before and I will no doubt take shots of them again. I don't know quite what it is but, for me, they are an excellent source of photographic opportunities.

In some ways, they remind me of the fans that genteel ladies in a bygone era used to carry.

Given the the right light, the shadows formed by the leaves can make fascinating images. I humbly submit to you that this shot maybe one of them.

After yesterday's frolic with the scene modes, it was back to normal today, shooting in RAW and converting to B&W with Silver Efex Pro in Photoshop CS3.
