Busan Tower

Taken with my gorillapod, attached to the side of a bench, so that I could get the angle and support required for this shot. This is looking up at the 12o-odd metre Busan Tower. Unsurprisingly, it gives stunning views out over the city, which seems to be positioned, like a glacier, in between several peaks. It was more noticeable as we left this morning from Gimhae airport, but it is a lovely city.

Still, Seoul has been the highlight of the trip, a bustling metropolis...just how I like my metropolises (or is that metropoli?)

Flew to Jeju-do this morning - a volcanic island (I guess it is an extinct volcano, but you never know). It is a bit ridiculous how they operate the airport - the fare was about £30 single for a 50 minute flight - it was more like getting a bus (although still felt much safer here than in Kazakhstan - flying wise). I like it. There must be about 20 flights a day from Busan, and then maybe 30 a day from Seoul. It makes it easy to rock up to the airport and buy your ticket when you arrive.

Anyway - if my ankle isn't going to fall off, there may be a volcano picture tomorrow...
