Sports Day

M was in the yellow team.

Her team for the past 3 years has come in 1st place. This morning in the car:

"I won't tell my teammates, but I want to lose this year, just to see what it's like."

" No, I wouldn't tell your teammates, or anyone else for that matter"

Well, despite some heroic jumping like this, let's just say her dream came true, and the green team were crowned the winners, amidst allegations of cheating, but still.

In the car on the way home,

"How did you feel about losing then?"

" OK, but I think I prefer winning"...

Don't we all?

But it was never an issue for me. I was always last on sports day. Except for 2 wins in the egg and spoon race and the catch the train race.
