Lochnagar

Got an inversion. That is when the top of the hill is above the clouds.

What a day, what a brilliant day.

Bus left the lodge late, but the hill was only along the road. Parked up and paid the pay and display, stomped off up the well marked track.

Barely any navigation needed, only worried that the edges of the corries might be hidden in cloud. Not a good thing to walk blindly off a crag. But as you can see by the time we got up there we were above the clouds.

They poured over the landscape below us like rivers, spilling over the edges of the world.

Lunch on the summit and then a bit of a trudge back to the van.

Banter and Brocken Spectres, sandwiches and suncream.
