Beinn Macduibh

The weather Gods shined upon us and the northern Cairngorms were bathed in sunshine all day. I took an opportunity to make my 3rd visit to the summit of Britain's 2nd highest mountain. To the south was a cloud sea and we felt very lucky with our superior view.

The Arctic tundra-like plateau was a pleasant place to be this afternoon. We returned to 'civilisation' over Cairngorm itself. Descended to the car park via an excellent new path on the Sron an Aonach still being constructed.

The trees around Loch Morlich were some fantastic shades of golden yellow. Hopefully will be able to blip them soon before the leaves are fallen.

Peaks in the view are Beinn Macduibh, Cairn Toul, Sgurr an Lochain Uaine and Braeriach from Cairngorm.
