Salts Mill

This is one of my favourite places - Salts Mill in Saltaire. It's a beautiful mill full of original Hockney art, a wide and eclectic range of books, art equipment, outdoor gear and beautiful but scarily expensive furniture and kitchen ware. They also have lovely cafes and a good restaurant.

It's a wonderful, relaxing place and its where I go when I need reassuring that the Chavs haven't taken over. Not yet anyway...

Slightly annoyingly, whilst we were inside, a steam train went by on the line that runs just outside and all we saw was steam :-(

My parents kindly bought me an early birthday present whilst we were there: "Beauty in Decay". It's a collection of dark, fairly creepy photos taken by a range of photographers around the World and covers abandoned asylums, disused chemical works, former factories etc. It's dark and almost Giegeresque, but I think it's great.
