Sleepover with the Anselmos

Today the Anselmos met us at Emily's water polo game at Bear Creek High. All 3 of the girls play polo so it was fun for them to get to come to one of Emily's games. Her team won so she was in high spirits that night.

We returned to our house for a dinner of chicken tacos and chips with salsa and guacamole. I had made bars for dessert and the Anselmos had made some beautiful chocolate cupcakes with orange frosting so we had quite the feast. Gracie had to hurry off as she had volleyball practice that night.

Grant was a real gentleman and put up the tent in the backyard for the girls. Even though the weather was a bit on the cool side, they were determined to sleep outside all night. This blip is of the girls (and Jack) just after Grant put up the tent. Gracie is still at volleyball.

After Gracie returned and I had gotten Jack into bed, the kids watched part of Avatar and then the girls headed to the backyard around 10:00 with the idea that if it got too cold, they could come indoors and climb into one of the beds or on the couches in the family room. Gracie returned to her bed about midnight, she values a good night's sleep, but the rest of them stuck it out all night. They did admit it was very cold and damp though.
